Utilities Benefit from the Intergraph SAP Integration Module

By [email protected] - 25th August 2015 - 09:13

Multiple utility companies around the world, including Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), have successfully deployed Intergraphâs SAP integration module. The integration module connects Intergraph G/Technology, a geographic information system (GIS) specifically designed for utility companies, to SAP applications, improving the integration and management of core IT processes and business functions, including asset and work management. The Web Services-based integration module removes the need for point-to-point interfaces between systems, which are costly to implement, maintain and upgrade. It enables enterprise application integration through any Service Oriented Architecture based integration platform, such as SAP PI, Software AG webMethods, Microsoft BizTalk and Oracle SOA Suite. âLeading companies are leveraging Intergraphâs SAP integrations to achieve a fundamental goal: seamless connection between core and complementary systems, which overcomes the challenges of manual input and redundant data,â said Maximilian Weber, senior vice president, EMEA, Intergraph SG&I. www.intergraph.com.
