Stan Tillman receives OGC’s Gardels Award

At the September meeting of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC®) Technical Committee in Orlando, Florida, USA, Stan Tillman received the OGC’s prestigious Kenneth D. Gardels Award. The Gardels Award is awarded each year to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to advance OGC’s vision of geospatial information fully integrated into the world’s information systems. As the primary representative in OGC of Intergraph (a Hexagon Geospatial company), Stan Tillman has worked tirelessly to foster communication and build constructive partnerships within the Technical and Planning Committees, as well as with those working outside of OGC activities. He has contributed his expertise to numerous Working Groups, and the Technical Committee as a whole, and has shown great leadership in collaboration. As a long standing member of the Technical Committee, Stan has provided both formal and informal mentoring of incoming members and positive engagement with all who participate in TC Meetings. www.opengeospatial.org.
