The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) announced that the US Department of the Interior has appointed OGC CEO Dr. Nadine Alameh to serve on the National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC). Dr. Alameh will represent the interests of the non-profit sector in the NGAC, and will join 30 esteemed leaders selected to achieve a balanced representation of the various interests associated with geospatial programs and technology. The NGAC reviews and comments on geospatial policy and management issues and provides a forum to convey views representative of non-Federal partners in the geospatial community. www.ogc.org
