The new Sirol-110 v2015 small unmanned aerial system designed and produced by IDETEC Unmanned System has been successfully used during a mapping campaign in Atacamaâs desert. The new system achieved a series of flights in desert conditions, handling heavy winds, dust and extreme temperature conditions. âThe new Sirol-110 v2015 integrates advanced features and functions, itâs RTK ready, extremely transportable and capable to flight in windy conditions, being an ideal professional mapping solution to be carried in airline flights as personal baggageâ says Juan Sainz, CEO IDETEC Unmanned Systems. A key of the new system is a new detachable tail boom that permits a compact and modular transport design and a three panel wing configuration. The ground control station is based on a Panasonic Toughbook multi-touch tablet PC. www.idetec-uas.com
