Fugro will provide consultancy and site characterisation services for the Zuidasdok project in Amsterdam to the ZuidPlus partners Fluor, Heijmans and HOCHTIEF. The Zuidasdok project is one of the largest infrastructure projects in The Netherlands and includes the widening and partial tunneling of the A10 South motorway and expansion of the Amsterdam South railway station. The new proposed highway will be extended to eight lanes for through traffic and four lanes for local traffic. Improvements will also include the construction of a new Amsterdam South railway station. The Zuidasdok project is essential for accessibility to the Zuidas business district. Partial tunneling will create space for a new public area and the new Amsterdam South railway station, turning it into a high-quality public transport hub.
