Fugro awarded large geotechnical investigation

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) has awarded Fugro another significant land site investigation contract as part of the HKD 141.5 billion three-runway system (3RS) project for the expansion of Hong Kong International Airport. Fugro will perform geotechnical drilling and cone penetration tests on newly reclaimed land, and provide laboratory testing to acquire geotechnical data for the new passenger building and related infrastructure. The 3RS project comprises a 650-hectare land formation programme for the construction of a new runway, passenger building and related infrastructure.
