Airwave wins 2016 International Critical Communication Award

Airwave took top honours at the International Critical Communication Awards 2016 winning the Green Technology Award. Previously known as the International Tetra Awards, this year saw the evolution of the awards to the International Critical Communication Awards to reflect the changing landscape of digital communications technology. Airwave was successfully shortlisted for three awards; Best Use of TETRA for Public Safety, Best Innovation and the Green Technology Award. “Winning the Green Technology Award is great recognition of our ‘green thinking’ programmes and the measures we have taken to reduce carbon emissions and waste across the Airwave Network. From the earliest days of delivering our Service, Airwave has been committed to minimising our impact on the environment, and improving resource efficiency.” said John Lewis, Chief Operating Officer of Airwave.
