Yotta Drives Momentum for Horizons across UK Highways Authorities

Leamington Spa, UK 31 October 2016 – Technology company, Yotta has announced that its innovative next generation asset management software, Horizons, is continuing to demonstrate strong momentum across the UK, four years on from its original launch.

Yotta has sealed deals, worth around £250,000 collectively, to implement the solution within six highways authorities across the country – in the first eight months of 2016 alone. These are Harrow Council; Bolton Council, Havering Council, Hampshire County Council, Dorset County Council and Area 10 Balfour Beatty/Mott MacDonald, which is part of Highways England’s strategic route network.

The benefits to highways authorities remain compelling and that’s what driving such sustained momentum, with more than 50 such organisations now reaping the rewards of using it.

“Not only does Horizons enable highways authorities to better visualise and understand the current and historic performance of their highways assets,” continues Croston, “it also helps them to define locally relevant maintenance rules aligned to their budget, asset management strategies and stakeholder expectations to arrive at optimised multi-year works programmes. Moreover, it allows them to evaluate different multi-year scenarios, giving clear insight into the effects of different levels of investment, the efficacy of different maintenance strategies, as well as the costs to achieve performance targets.”

“We’ve also developed Horizons in line with Government-funded initiatives like the Highways Management Efficiency Programme and the Incentive Fund,” he adds. “And the software is therefore also helping authorities not just to improve their asset management delivery and capabilities but also to align with the guidance and requirements of these initiatives.

To maximise the benefits they can obtain from Horizons, all six authorities have purchased the full version of the visualised asset management platform. This includes Horizons Explorer, enabling users to view, load and visualise a range of datasets, including base network and condition, plus relevant asset or construction information, and Horizons Analysis, allowing them to run a wide range of investment scenarios and make the case for increased investment or at the very least to protect existing budgets.

The momentum behind Horizons plays into an ongoing picture of growth across the UK market with new appointments being made in recent months to the sales, professional services and waste management teams. Yotta is also showing strong growth overseas, having developed an international version of Horizons including support for multiple languages and currencies, during 2015, and with successful implementations of the software now achieved in Australia and across Europe.
