What is World ECDIS DAY?

In September 2015 this non-profit initiative was for the first time supported by a large number of industry leaders. More than 200 Ship Managers, Stakeholders, and other industry figureheads, came to Hamburg to share experiences and viewpoints in the form of live panel discussions, workshops and related seminars. The day was a huge success and finished with an evening reception and award ceremony to honor the most remarkable personalities and teams for their contributions to the industry.
As the maritime world continues to evolve, it faces new issues which will set the scene for this year’s World ECDIS Day on September 20th in Hamburg, Germany, the place where ECDIS received the first type approval 18 years ago.
