Virtual World Asset Management delivered to the Power Industry

Fugro has announced a multi-year partnership with Leidos, a global science and technology solutions leader. Leidos will become the exclusive distribution partner in North America for Fugro’s award-winning Roames® solution.

Roames enables power distribution utilities to remotely investigate and monitor the condition and performance of their overhead networks. Visualisation, simulation and analytics capabilities in the Roames 3D virtual world allow clients to optimise asset investment and maintenance decisions. It has been demonstrated to provide annual cost savings of up to 40% on vegetation management alone.

Utilities can integrate their enterprise systems with Roames to extract additional value from existing datasets. Mobile apps provide field crews with real-time information and upload capability, connecting in-field work and response with the Roames digital asset model.
