Scottish GIS company thinkWhere has appointed Mahon Fitzgerald to the newly created position of Marketing Manager.
thinkWhere is an established specialist in GIS and Fitzgerald joins following recent innovations by the Stirling-based company in online platforms for accessing, sharing and storing maps and geographic data. Reporting directly to the CEO, Fitzgerald will spearhead marketing of the newly developed geospatial platform theMapCloud, and web mapping tools including Location Centre and groundMapper, while cementing existing business relationships.

Mahon Fitzgerald is an experienced sales and business development professional with over 12 years’ experience in the geospatial sector. Fitzgerald started his geospatial career at Edinburgh based GeoWise, now a wholly owned subsidiary of ESRI, where he supported the launch to market of InstantAtlas desktop GIS. He later went on to work with Cyberhawk, a world leader in using UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or Drones) to undertake inspections of industrial facilities in the oil and gas, renewables, rail and power and utility sectors, and support start-up Brainnwave, a data specialist that is removing the barriers between suppliers and users.
