Sygic and what3words have announced an integration with Sygic GPS Navigation at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.
After several years of successful partnerships across Sygic navigation solutions for businesses, spanning public transport, automotive, delivery, and construction services, what3words’ innovative location technology is now available to Premium+ users of the Sygic GPS Navigation app.
Street addresses often aren’t accurate enough to direct individuals to precise locations, such as specific building entrances or meeting points in parks, and postcodes cover large areas. Stadiums and warehouses are usually assigned a single address and yet have multiple entrances and car parks, while locations such as beaches, campsites and pop-up venues may have no address at all. In addition to this, thousands of duplicate street addresses also exist – there are 34 Victoria Roads in London alone! what3words provides a simple solution.
what3words has divided the world into a grid of 3m x 3m (10ft x 10ft) squares, and assigned each square a unique combination of three words: a what3words address. Now, every building entrance, market stall, parking space and camping spot has its own what3words address, enabling users to find, share and navigate to precise locations with ease. Once you know the what3words address of your destination, you can enter it into the navigation and Sygic will take you there.
