STRYDE, the global provider of nodal seismic acquisition technology, has secured a major contract to supply 42,000 cutting-edge autonomous nodes to Smart Seismic Solutions (S3).
The nodes will be deployed on a 3D high-density seismic survey for the ground-breaking CarbonCuts carbon dioxide (CO₂) Storage Project onshore in Denmark, enabling a significant step forward in global efforts to combat climate change.
The CarbonCuts Project is a high-profile initiative aimed at identifying optimal onshore subsurface storage solutions for CO2 sequestration.
The seismic survey will be crucial in advancing Denmark’s ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2045, utilising advanced seismic technology to map geological formations with unprecedented accuracy, ultimately helping to ensure safe and effective onshore CO2 storage.
With geological CO₂ storage now a globally recognised, proven, and safe technology to tackle the climate crisis, and CO₂ storage on land being significantly more affordable than offshore options, onshore CO₂ storage is becoming increasingly accessible for a wider range of emitters to manage their emissions responsibly.
