Silent Auction to Benefit URISA's GISCorps Announced

Des Plaines, IL (Tuesday, June 11, 2019) Since 2003, URISA’s GISCorps has coordinated short-term, volunteer-based GIS services to underprivileged communities. Projects vary based on the partner agency’s need and may involve any and all aspects of GIS including analysis, cartography, app development, needs assessments, technical workshops, etc. Areas of service include humanitarian relief, disaster response, conservation, environmental quality, health and human services, GIS education, and expert crowdsourcing. GISCorps runs on volunteer energy and charitable contributions.

The Silent Auction to support URISA’s GISCorps will take place on Monday and Tuesday, September 30 and October 1. If you would like to donate to the cause, please send an email to [email protected] or call (847) 824-6300 with a specific description of the item(s) and value.
