35 years of evolution
Severn Partnership never stands still, which can now be said about our base having moved to Telford. Over the last 35 years, Severn Partnership have always been early adopters of the latest technology, to ensure we offer our clients the very best. A main milestone was in 1992 when we started supplying to the Rail industry.
Brief Summary:
- 2002 Imported first Sinning TMD pre-cursor to Trimble GEDO TMD system
- Network Rail adopted Sinning / GEDO system after consultation with SP
- 2009 purchased Amberg GRP 1000 & 5000 kinematic TMD system
- 2015 SP gained approval from NR for Pegasus:TWO Mobile Mapping System
- 2016 Amberg IMS 3000 TMD systems X 2 being used for HOTR
- Full complement of Robotic Total Stations and Terrestrial Laser Scanners working 24/7 on rail infrastructure
Mobile Mapping = LeanGeomatics
In 2014 the story continued with the investment of Leica's Pegasus:TWO. This was the start of our flagship service, Mobile Mapping. It enabled us to offer a faster, safer and cost-effective service saving our clients money and offering better data than ever before.
After 2 years of hard work, the department is now surveying 1000's of miles of highway, railway and waterways with a 24-hour operation offering non-stop data collection across the UK and Europe. This year, it has surveyed the cities of Rome, Valencia, Paris, Venice and London.
Above and Below
2017 saw the adoption of the latest GPR technology with the IDS Stream C. Now we can subsurface map faster, safer and better than ever before offering a complete 'Above and Below' service. Our clients are benefiting again from better data, delivered faster and reducing costs.
