The new subsidiary is the result of the merger of two separate companies, i.e. PTV Loxane SAS and PTV France SARL, one specializing in transport logistics and the other in traffic engineering. With offices in Paris, Strasbourg and Lyon, PTV France SAS can now offer the complete portfolio with innovative solutions and consulting services, covering all facets of passenger and freight transportation. 50 PTV experts support more than 500 customers – including cities and municipalities, public transportation companies as well as industrial enterprises and transport logistics companies.
Strong market position for mobility solutions in France
Numerous French transportation consultants and experts already rely on PTV's expertise in the field of smart and sustainable mobility. One of the flagship projects includes the modeling and planning of mobility networks for the Ile de France region surrounding Paris - a major initiative launched by the national railway operator SNCF. The metro operator RATP also uses PTV solutions, in particular for its pedestrian simulation in Paris. And in the "Breathable Cities" project of the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg, PTV software helped optimize traffic signal timing and thus significantly reduce the negative impact on the environment through road traffic.
The PTV Group is also a market leader in transport logistics and supports players from a wide range of sectors such as transportation, food, retail, energy, etc. Thanks to PTV solutions, companies such as DPD, Air Liquide and Office Depot are able to save thousands of miles and optimize their transport routes and operations.
"The merger of the previously separate companies reflects the logical development of the market, where transportation and logistics are growing closer together," says Frédéric Reutenauer, PTV Group. "We are familiar with all forms of mobility. Our expertise and solutions benefit companies of all sizes, cities and major French conurbations. They thus make a significant contribution to improving air quality and reducing noise and congestion."
