After the recent release of SuperGIS Server 10 in January 2018, establishing an easy-to-use and powerful SuperGIS 3D API for JavaScript has become the next significant goal. After all, our main objective is to provide abundant APIs and a simple environment for developers, which allows application engineers to build up an awesome web GIS application rapidly. Currently, we are working on the 2.0 version of SuperGIS 3D API, expecting to include a wide variety of layers, such as aerial photos, topography data, underground utility data, vector data, and so on. Furthermore, the new version will integrate vector tiles and 3D objects, enabling users to establish complete 3D scenes with sufficient GIS information. The new release will also incorporate many powerful 3D core techniques into the current SuperGIS web development environment.
Specifically, the update will enhance the performance of both API and the main application to improve user experience while combining data like DTM, images, vector data, and 3D objects by streaming map tiles, vector tiles, and OGC services. Most importantly, SuperGIS 3D API will help you immediately establish a user-friendly web GIS application that is compatible with all mainstream browsers. The various APIs will assist you to create a customized 3D web GIS with functions like querying, measuring, and underground utility viewing.
Supergeo development team spares no efforts to develop easier-to-use and more powerful tools, allowing users to experience the highly realistic 3D web GIS through the internet. Meanwhile, the new use case scenario of Pipeline Module will soon be ready for release. Once the Pipeline Module is finished, it will effectively help asset managers understand the condition of facilities and manage them in appropriate ways.
