Leamington Spa, UK 18 August 2016 – Following several recent additions to its sales and professional services teams, technology company, Yotta is continuing its expansion drive by bringing in three more recruits to senior positions.
Daryn Magee joins the company as business development manager across Yotta’s full portfolio of software solutions. Steve White comes in as software business development manager, with a specific waste management focus, and Sue Daynes has been brought on board as product consultant, but again primarily as a waste management specialist.
“Adding Sue and Steve to the team significantly strengthens our capability within the fast growing waste management sector,” says Simon Phillips, Yotta’s UK commercial director. “Between the two of them, they have around 20 years’ worth of specialist waste expertise, which we believe will be invaluable in enabling us to strengthen our credibility in the waste management area and start to more proactively address this increasingly important marketplace.”
White, whose base will be Yotta’s Leamington Spa headquarters, will report into Simon Phillips. Before joining Yotta, he spent more than five years as solution sales manager for IT services provider, Webaspx. In his new role, his primary focus will be on winning new business in the waste management arena.
According to Phillips, “Steve’s arrival will enable us to improve the way we interact with our waste management customers and start selling our capability both from a solution and service perspective much more proactively and directly. Critically too, he has a great deal of experience in working not just with the local authorities but with the district councils also, which will help us expand our reach and the scope of our offering We are delighted to welcome him to Yotta.”
Daynes, also based at Leamington Spa, will report into Kevin Smith, head of support and consulting.
She was previously waste and recycling services manager for North Lincolnshire Council, where she worked for 14 years. Her main role at Yotta will be in delivering and implementing software into waste management environments and providing post-implementation support.
Phillips adds; “Sue’s experience will be invaluable to Yotta. She understands Yotta’s software well, having used it as a customer in the past. She has excellent specialist expertise. We now know that if we sell a waste system, we have somebody available that truly understands what these organisations want to do with it; someone that will work with customers to implement the software; look at their business processes and make sure we deliver a good implementation and excellent support.
Daryn Magee, who will take on the more general role of business development manager, will also be formally based in Leamington. Prior to joining Yotta, he worked for Pitney Bowes Software, where he was latterly account director, and before that he was a pre-sales manager for Northgate Information Solutions.
Phillips comments: “Daryn has extensive experience of delivering asset management software to local authorities and councils which will be exactly his focus in his new role working for Yotta. We believe this experience and his in-depth understanding of what makes councils tick will enable him to raise the sales process up a level from technical and functional to visionary, and this will be invaluable in engaging with more senior staff and driving up sales volumes.”
