Micro Optical Power Meter - Compatible with Single-Mode and Multi-Mode Networks

The Micro Optical Power Meter (OPM) from Tempo Communications is an OPM and Visual Fault Locator (VFL). This combination is a cost-effective instrument, the essential tool for effectively and safely testing and troubleshooting all FTT(x), fibre optic links, and networks. The Micro OPM is compatible with both single-mode and multi-mode networks. The built-in, white LED aids the technician while working in dimly lit locations.

The OPM functionality allows the technician to validate power levels and perform insertion loss measurements in conjunction with a compatible laser source. The OPM uses an InGaAs diode and is calibrated at 850, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550 and 1625nm. It features tone detect at 270Hz, 1kHz and 2kHz for measuring and identifying all common wavelengths.

At the same time, the integrated VFL employs a 650nm 1mW laser to visually identify broken and/or damaged fibres as well as contaminated and/or faulty optical connectors.
