Michael Gerhards is new Head of CyberSecurity Germany

Michael Gerhards, 57, is the new Head of CyberSecurity Germany at Airbus. He succeeds Steve Rymell, who had led German operations on an interim basis.

“In Michael Gerhards, we are happy to have found a general manager with international experience, who is highly competent in developing new business areas, strategies and portfolios,” said Phil Jones, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Countries and Operations at Airbus CyberSecurity.

“Based on its experience in the field of cyber security, Airbus has developed competences with which we can protect the company and our customers from the growing threat of cyber attacks,” said Michael Gerhards. “Being able to contribute to the continued development of our products and services and driving our rapid growth with the German team is an exciting task.”

Gerhards comes from Atos Information Technologies, where he was Sales Director of the Big Data & Security division in Germany. Before his time at Atos, he held various international senior management positions at Bull.
