Latest update to CH2M’s next generation Flood Modeller software

CH2M is pleased to announce the release of version 4.3 of our industry-leading river and floodplain modelling, and real-time flood forecasting software, Flood Modeller Pro and Flood Modeller Free. The latest release also provides access to CH2M’s latest innovation, Flood Cloud, which enables users to harness the power of cloud computing.

Dr. Jon Wicks, Technical Director for Flood Modeller, commented: “The latest release of Flood Modeller Pro provides exciting new features and various enhancements to existing functionality. Version 4.3 also provides access to Flood Cloud which will transform the way modellers work – freed from the constraints of local computer resources, it will enable users to focus on model set up and results analysis to enable a deep understanding of flood risk under multiple scenarios.”

Many exciting updates to version 4.3 have been developed in response to user requests and include:

• Flood Cloud - undertake flood risk modelling, at any scale, in the cloud
• Simulation Builder tool – seamlessly build up a matrix of 1D simulations
• Project export tool - package up the current project to a single zip file
• Enhanced calculation of mass balance - data from 1D, 2D and 1D-2D simulations
• Enhanced batch runner tool – now compatible with all Flood Modeller model types
• Improved Damage Calculator tool – new data types and file formats
• Redesigned simulation windows - delivering an enhanced display
• Conveyance Estimation System - now available with 64-bit builds

Existing users of Flood Modeller Free will be able to upgrade to the latest release, at no cost, by visiting the downloads section on our website. Users of Flood Modeller Pro, that hold a current support and maintenance contract, can also upgrade at no cost.
