Juniper Systems Limited Welcomes Andy Cray

‘We are very enthusiastic about Andy taking the role of Business Development Manager for the United Kingdom’, said Simon Bowe, General Manager. ‘His past experience in technical sales and support, as Managing Director, and his roles in channel relationships will serve our customers well as he brings a higher level of knowledge and service to our organization’.

Andy has built a distinguished career in technical sales and support. His career began as a Technical Support Leader at Telxon, in the wireless and mobile information market. He advanced his career there over more than 11 years, ultimately becoming an Account Director.

From there, Andy moved into channel-dedicated responsibilities, honing his skills at the Herbert Group and Datalogic. In 2007, Andy joined PSI (Portable Solutions for Industry Limited) as Managing Director. Andy led the team at PSI for four-and-a-half years, ultimately transitioning the organization from a small business to a medium-sized organization that was scalable and structured. Notably, he diversified the customer base, headed a brand revitalization and comprehensive marketing strategy, and changed the sales model to an indirect sales strategy.

Andy then joined Absolute Renewable Energy UK, Ltd., as Regional Sales Manager, where he developed and grew the south coast region of the UK, focusing on growing revenue. Andy most recently came from Avonwood Developments, Ltd., where he was Sales Manager for that organization’s RFID solutions for safety, security and asset management.

Currently Andy also spends time as a technical sales consultant for a smart technology clothing manufacturer that is developing cycling safety wear for active consumers, and active wear for industrial uses.

‘I’m extremely happy to be joining Juniper Systems Limited’, Andy said. ‘Juniper’s extremely rugged products are so well-made that they are the obvious choice for organizations that need reliable data capture in challenging environments. It was an easy choice for me to make, to work for the company. Simon and Vicki feel like old friends already, and I’m excited to start meeting our wonderful partners, resellers and customers’.

Andy obtained his bachelor’s degree in Science and Electronics from The Open University in Milton Keynes, England. He is happily married for 26 years to Leigh, and they have a son and a daughter (plus two dogs and a cat!). They reside in Wimborne Minster in Dorset, England, which Andy describes as ‘a wonderfully traditional, small-market town on the South Coast of England, just 20 minutes from the sea’.

When he’s not helping clients with their rugged computer needs, Andy can be found clay pigeon shooting, walking along the coast, doing charity work to support the homeless, vacationing in Oslo, Norway (a favorite!), or, as he describes… ‘inflicting a limitless supply of Dad jokes’ on his kids.
