John Kimmance appointed as new MD of Ordnance Survey National Mapping Services

Ordnance Survey has appointed John Kimmance as Managing Director of the National Mapping Services business unit.

John will lead a team tasked with providing world-leading location data and expertise to customers across Great Britain, including public sector customers, businesses and developers. John will drive the delivery of the recently launched Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSGA), ensuring that location data continues to support critical infrastructure and services, underpins decision making, drives efficiencies and delivers both societal and economic benefits.

Through the PSGA John will lead the National Mapping Services team to create greater opportunities for the public sector and commercial customers through new data, improved access to OS data and new freedoms to share.

Steve Blair, CEO at Ordnance Survey, said: "The board of OS is delighted that we have appointed John Kimmance as MD of National Mapping Services.
