The entire week, dedicated to emerging research and innovation in IoT, was a great success. With over 250 speakers, 180 sessions and activities delivered over 4 days, more than 850 participants were able to listen to and interact with IoT experts, industry practitioners and policy makers on a number of IoT topics, challenges and future trends. This was a unique opportunity for getting involved in activities of a thriving IoT community, making new contacts and identifying collaboration opportunities for future commercial as well as research and innovation undertakings.
In addition to presentation and panel sessions, a brokerage event and a startup competition were also held. The former provided an opportunity for establishing new business collaborations, while the latter gave young startups a chance to increase visibility, get valuable feedback and make the next step in their endeavors.
The second Global IoT Summit (GIoTS) endorsed by the IEEE and driven by the IEEE Subcommittee on IoT and the IoT Forum, selected and presented cutting edge scientific articles on IoT innovations and latest research results. More than 70 papers were presented by authors coming from 24 countries.
IoT Week again proved to be a great event, providing ample opportunities for learning about IoT challenges and opportunities as well as networking with industry, academia and public administration from around the world in a relaxed setting.
We are looking forward to welcoming you at the next IoT Week edition that will take place in Aarhus, in Denmark, from 17th to 21st June 2019.
