GSSI, the world’s leading manufacturer of ground penetrating radar (GPR) equipment, will be highlighting their UtilityScan® and StructureScan Mini XT systems at Canadian Common Ground Alliance (CCGA) Damage Prevention Symposium, being held on October 30-November 1, 2018, in Whistler, British Columbia. GSSI will be exhibiting its products at booth #20.
The UtilityScan series of products have been a standard in the utility locating industry for nearly two decades. The new UtilityScan system features innovative GPR technology including a robust new wireless antenna designed to handle high data rates. The electrical design uses GSSI’s patented HyperStacking technology, which has proven to increase depth penetration in challenging soils, while also providing high near surface data resolution. With its compact size, it is extremely portable and easy to maneuver in tight survey areas. This system is designed specifically to meet the needs of electrical contractors, utility installers, and municipal and government gas and water utilities. UtilityScan also has a backup Ethernet connection if Wi-Fi is not desired or allowed on a particular jobsite or facility.
To locate interior utilities and structural reinforcement, the StructureScan Mini is an all-in-one GPR system for concrete inspection. The Mini XT can help identify structural elements, including rebar, post-tension cables, pan decking and concrete cover, and can also provide real time determination of concrete slab thickness. StructureScan Mini XT is the perfect blend of price and performance and is backed by a two-year warranty. It features an intuitive touchscreen interface and six-button control options.
The StructureScan Mini XT has several add-on accessories that greatly enhance the performance of the system and accessibility to complex survey areas. The Palm XT accessory antenna is a miniaturized GPR antenna that gives users unparalleled access in tightly spaced areas and enables ease of use for overhead scanning. Additionally, it has a 2300 MHz center frequency that provides clear, high-resolution data at depths of up to 20 inches.
