On display will be the StructureScan Mini XT with Palm XT miniaturized GPR antenna and UtilityScan GPR System for quickly identifying and marking utility location and depth. Visit GSSI in the exhibit hall, alongside Allied Associates Geophysical GmbH.
Rugged, compact, and flexible, the StructureScan Mini XT is ideal for locating rebar, conduits, post-tension cables, and voids. The Mini XT can help identify structural elements, including pan deck and concrete cover, and can also provide real time determination of concrete slab thickness. StructureScan Mini XT is the perfect blend of price and performance, and is backed by a two-year warranty.
GSSI will be showcasing a variety of new accessories that expand the StructureScan Mini XT’s capabilities. The 2300 MHz Palm XT antenna offers superior depth penetration and resolution. It features full keypad control via the antenna top, which allows for remote control of the user interface. The antenna features seamless software integration and provides users with three data collection modes; standard, cross polarization, and side car. A new Palm XT pole accessory attaches to the top of the Palm XT antenna and allows for several data collection positions. Other new accessories for the Mini XT include an extension handle with control button options; and a harness, which allows users to operate the StructureScan Mini XT as a micro controller when using the Palm XT antenna.
The new UtilityScan GPR system is an affordable model ideal for efficiently identifying and marking the location and depth of subsurface features and utilities. It features innovative technology and a compact size that makes it extremely portable and easy to maneuver in tight survey areas. This system uses GSSI’s patented HyperStacking technology, which has proven to increase depth penetration in challenging soils, while also providing high near surface data resolution. The unit also has a backup Ethernet connection if Wi-Fi is not desired at a site.
UtilityScan uses a wireless tablet-based system and a simplified app-based user interface that is convenient and easy to use. Both tablet options feature a built-in GPS, which can be used for providing location information in the radar data file. Two tablet options are available, including the fully-rugged Panasonic® Toughpad FZ-B2 or a consumer-based tablet.
