1Spatial, a global provider of Location Master Data Management (LMDM) software and solutions, reported on the growing traction within its Enterprise business for its AI-supported applications, including two new UK customers for its Pipe Inference solution and four new customers for its Utility Network Migration application, in deals up to £0.3m each.
Both solutions are supporting the growing demand for digital transformation within the utilities sector and have seen increased interest in recent months.
Commenting on the growing utility sector momentum, 1Spatial CEO, Claire Milverton, said: “The growing traction for our AI-powered solutions across the utility sector globally reflects the success of our powerful software in meeting our customers’ most pressing problems. Utility organisations are increasingly transforming into digital organisations with machine learning, digital twins and preventative action being common practice and 1Spatial’s AI-powered software is key to this. These new wins demonstrate the progress we are making in a key sector for the Group and that the Land and Expand strategy in our Enterprise business is continuing to deliver organic growth.”
Two new UK customers for Pipe Inference application
1Spatial’s Pipe Inference solution has recently been adopted by two additional large UK water companies. This brings the total number of customers to four, with ongoing discussions with other potential clients.
The solution uses spatially enabled machine learning techniques to map undocumented wastewater connections. This addresses the challenge faced by UK water companies since 2011, when they inherited responsibility for undocumented local wastewater connections, resulting in large portions of their network data being unmapped. The increasing adoption of this solution underscores its effectiveness in speeding up network transformation, reducing operational costs, enhancing data quality, and supporting the digital transformation efforts of utility companies.
Four customers for Utility Network Migration application
1Spatial’s Utility Network Migration application uses rules-based AI techniques to support utility companies in the UK, USA and Australia validate the data accuracy and facilitate its seamless migration to a Utility Network Model. This solution has been sold to four utility companies in the last six months and we continue to build on our pipeline of opportunities.
An example of the Utility Network Migration application can be seen at the Holland Board of Public Works in Michigan, USA whose digital transformation was being delayed by data migration taking eight weeks for just one substation. After automation via 1Spatial’s application, the remaining eight substations took an average of just two weeks each to complete.
