GGP Systems Ltd (GGP), a UK based supplier of Geographic Information and Address Management Systems, announced this week that in partnership with Strata, it has implemented a new National Land & Property Gazetteer aimed at providing East Devon DC, Exeter City Council and Teignbridge DC access to a shared gazetteer solution for all three councils.
GGP is one of the leading Geographic Information Systems (GIS) suppliers nationally; with client sites located the length and breadth of the British Isles. It is British owned and based and is focused exclusively on the UK public sector.
As well as a leading supplier of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), GGP is also a major provider of systems for managing centralised address datasets as part of the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) and National Street Gazetteer (NSG).
In winning this business, GGP replaced existing gazetteer solutions from Idox and Aligned Assets, migrating and cleansing gazetteer information for each authority before uploading to the new system.
The implementation project is now complete and the gazetteer solution is fully operational.
Steve Gammon, Programme & Resources Manager of Strata, says: “GGP have been key in making this a successful project for us, enabling us to transform and improve the way we provide our service to the 3 partner councils while removing risks and improving service resilience”.
Tim Maxwell, Managing Director of GGP Systems, says: “GGP Systems is very pleased to welcome East Devon, Exeter City and Teignbridge Councils into the growing number of Local Authorities that have adopted NGz. This is a prestigious project and both Strata and GGP staff have put in considerable effort to create this new shared service Land and Property Gazetteer”.
