Getmapping welcomes new Group Chairman

Tim has occupied a broad range of board roles in the broadcast and technology industries, most notably with the BBC and Walt Disney, primarily driving the business transformation required to respond effectively to today’s fast-paced technology landscape.

Since 2005 Tim worked within the Jisc group of companies, firstly as CEO of Janet(UK), the organisation responsible for developing and managing the UK’s advanced research and education digital network, and then as CEO of new subsidiary Jiscom, where his role was to establish new commercial revenue streams.

Outside of his commercial roles, Tim is a council member of Bucks New University and has produced the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, directed ‘West End Heroes’ - a show supporting the Help for Heroes charity, and most recently the RAF Central Band Autumn Concert Tours. In June 2015 Tim was awarded an OBE for services to service and ex-service personnel.
