GeoCom19 announces Dr Christopher Tucker as keynote speaker

The annual event, which is inspired by the UK’s commitment to hitting net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, is organised by the Association for Geographic Information (AGI) and includes speakers from government, industry and business.

Geospatial clearly has a key role to play in achieving net zero and GeoCom19 will examine the differences we can all can make to lead the change – from local to global initiatives. I am thrilled that Dr Tucker is joining us to share his belief that thinking geographically is vital to the future of our planet.”

Speakers confirmed for the one-day conference at the Royal Society include: Laura Sandys, Chair of the Energy Task Force; Paul Campion, Chief Executive of TRL; Rangan Sukumar, Senior Analytics Architect at Cray Inc; Tom Knights, Metro Partnerships at Strava; and Sir Andrew Dilnot, Geospatial Commission.
