The fire brigade control centre of Nuremberg Airport will be equipped with Frequentis’ VoIP-based communication system ASGARD
Flughaft Nürnberg GmbH has selected Frequentis’ ASGARD to modernise the control centre of the airports fire department and the control and communication management system, as well as the installation of media technology. This installation will mark the first time ASGARD will be used in an international airport.
Albrecht Dürer airport in Nuremberg ranks among the ten biggest airports in Germany with approximately 4.2 million passengers per year and is growing at a yearly rate of 3 per cent. Various subsystems will also be integrated into the communication system via different interfaces.
The system design offers the highest reliability and availability and allows for seamless integration into existing but also future infrastructures. Its modular, completely software-based concept ensures flexibility and its ability to simplify even the most complex of requirements. The integrated documentation system records all available information, which is an indispensable prerequisite for control centres.
“The fully redundant and VoIP-based voice communication system ASGARD provides professional communication management for safety-critical control centres thanks to its high-level of flexibility, reliability, and numerous possibilities for infrastructure integration. We are extremely proud that industries with safety critical tasks rely on ASGARD for emergency call management,” says Reinhard Grimm, Managing Director Frequentis Germany.
ASGARD is already part of more than 30 control centres across Germany, supporting emergency service control centres with emergency call handling and emergency vehicle coordination.
