Electric Vehicles Won’t Run Out of Charge Mid-Delivery, with Stream’s Latest Route Optimisation Update

With the newest release of Stream’s award-winning logistics & transport management software, Stream Go, it is easier than ever to plan and optimise routes for electric delivery and commercial vehicles.

Stream Go now takes electric vehicles’ range limits into account when planning and optimising delivery and collection routes. This ensures that sustainable vehicles can complete scheduled deliveries and collections without running out of charge on the road.

The adoption of electric vehicles as part of commercial fleets has increased exponentially in the UK over the past few years and only looks set to expand further, with the introduction of commercial electric vehicles, like the Tesla Semi.

Transport planners can quickly and easily add electric vehicles to Stream Go’s vehicle management module, and data about the vehicle’s range limit will automatically be used when optimising delivery and collection runs.

Dave Pickburn, Director at Stream, said:
“Stream has had a focus from the start on optimising routes to reduce mileage and minimise the fuel used for deliveries. It was a logical step to introduce functionality into Stream Go to enable organisations with electric as well as conventional vehicles in their fleets to plan and optimise delivery and collection routes effectively and efficiently. We want to support businesses taking advantage of the financial, environmental and social responsibility benefits of introducing electric vehicles into their commercial fleets.”
