[Stockholm, Sweden, March 20, 2017.] Digpro, the major innovator in the field of Geographic IT and Network Lifecycle Management, has yet again been chosen to supply their GIS based network management systems dpPower and dpCom to a Norwegian energy company, Ymber AS. With yet a Norwegian energy company picking Digpro, the Swedish company is gaining important market shares in Norway.
The Norwegian energy company Ymber AS’s main purpose is power generation and to distribute electrical power and fibre broadband to customers in the northern part of Norway, in Nord-Troms and the western parts of Finnmark.
Ymber AS is facing a comprehensive digitization of their network, to learn how a combination of traditional power supply, ICT and Internet solutions will provide safer and more efficient network operations. Ymber AS has struggled with a situation that the existing systems did not support all phases of the operation of Ymber AS’s electrical and fibre infrastructure.
“As we’re in the process of digitalizing our entire network, we needed to find a system that covered all our needs, preferably in just one single platform, with one joint database”, said Lars Magne Luneborg, Network Director at Ymber AS.
Ymber AS has, after a thorough market research, chosen Digpro as the supplier of their network information systems dpPower and dpCom, to help them manage their electricity and fibre broadband network.
Digpro is with its 30 years in the industry a major innovator within geographic information technology and also the market leader in Scandinavia. Digpro provides solutions for electricity, telecommunications, gas, district heating, water and central and local government - in fact any organization that builds and maintains various types of networks. Digpro’s products enable users to streamline, save time and money, while improving the quality of its service.
"We are really pleased to find that Digpro, with their solutions will help us to take the next step in preparing our networks and organization for the digitalized future. With dpPower and dpCom installed, we finally have a system that gives us the support we need, in all phases of planning, operation and maintenance”, Lars Magne Luneborg concluded.
‘’We are pleased to supply Ymber with new network management systems and we’re looking forward to a long and rewarding cooperation with them. Norway is a prioritized market for Digpro and we see Ymber AS’s choice of us and our solutions as further evidence that there is a great demand of powerful and cost-effective systems for planning, operation and maintenance of a variety of networks in the Norwegian market”, said Bo Lundgren, CEO Digpro.
