exactEarth Continuous Tracking of the Crystal Serenity's Landmark Arctic Journey

For the first time ever, a luxury cruise ship has embarked on a journey through the Northwest Passage and exactEarth has been tracking this incredible ride. Above is the vessel track of the cruise liner making its way through the notoriously treacherous passage.

The Crystal Serenity left Anchorage, Alaska, on Aug. 16 on its way to New York and has just passed the halfway point of its ground-breaking trip stopping in the small hamlet of Ulukhaktok, N.W.T. With ice levels down, the cruise ship looks to usher in a new era of mass tourism in Canada's Arctic.

Offering a complete picture of global shipping even in remote regions such as the Arctic, exactEarth has your ship tracking needs covered pole-to-pole.
