BARTHAUER at German Street and Traffic Convention in Bremen

Organised by the "Forschungsgesellschaft für Straßen- und Verkehrswesen e.V." (FGSV, Highway and Transportation Research Institute), the German Street and Traffic Convention is being held from 28 to 30 September 2016 at the Bremen exhibition site. It informs the specialist audience about the latest research results and the activities of the FGSV workgroups. With the convention, the FGSV provides a forum for networking and the discussion of solutions for current and future transportation challenges.

In the course of the accompanying technical exhibition, BARTHAUER is positioning itself as a competent, reliable provider of professional software solutions in the field of infrastructure management. With the BaSYS street database, the company is presenting a tool for efficient municipal street infrastructure administration. It simplifies the recording, administration and editing of street-related geometry, technical and condition data.

"What makes the street database developed by us special is that the above-ground street infrastructure data can be used as the basis for municipal infrastructure management in the direct context of the underground infrastructure," says Andreas Koch, responsible for Product Management and Consulting. That is because the data for the above and below-ground infrastructure are centrally stored and maintained, and can be made available for various responsibilities with corresponding access rights. "With the integration of our street database into our BaSYS environment, we enable efficient, integrated municipal infrastructure management," Koch continues.
