BARTHAUER and the city of Sousse: joined by shared roots

The six-member delegation that spent several days in the Lower Saxony metropolis visited the company headquarters of Barthauer Software GmbH on Friday of last week. Aside from the cultural exchange – BARTHAUER’s Managing Director Anis Saad is also from Tunisia – the focus was mainly on technical networking between the two sides. A detailed presentation of Barthauer Software GmbH’s business objectives and philosophy was followed quite quickly by a lively and constructive discussion about the optimum administration of municipal infrastructure data.

Barthauer Software GmbH is the leading software provider for integrated asset management systems and, aside from branches in Munich and Würzburg, also maintains a subsidiary in Sousse. The company’s flagship product, the network information system BaSYS, offers comprehensive tools for managing the entire lifecycle of supply and disposal networks, including water, wastewater and rainwater networks in particular. With the help of extensive know-how accumulated by the BARTHAUER development team through decades of national and international expertise in the network information system field, a few starting points have now been defined for the future exchange with Tunisia. “Not only did the visit of the Tunisian delegation to our premises in Braunschweig allow us to have a technically very promising discussion, it was also a great joy for me to welcome my compatriots personally to our company headquarters. We look forward to continuing our discussion soon in Sousse,” says Anis Saad, Managing Director of Barthauer Software GmbH, describing the next step.
