And the winners of the EARSC Awards 2017 are...

• Planetek Italia has been presented with the EARSC Company Achievement Award. EARSC has thereby recognised Planetek Italia as the company that have made the most significant contribution to the development of the Earth Observation sector in Europe. Nominations for the award were collected from EARSC members who then voted and the winner has been selected by an international, independent jury of EO sector representatives.
• "Waste from space" by Air and Space Evidence has been recognised as the EO product of the year which will best support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Waste from Space is a new geo-information product which offers a much-needed intelligence gathering and analysis service to governments, investigating and providing evidence of one of the most significant global environmental problems, unlawful waste dumping sites.
