May 20, 2019 (Anaheim, California, USA) – With AEC Next Technology Expo + Conference and SPAR 3D Expo & Conference just one day away, organizers of the co-located events have announced that they are expecting nearly 2,000 AEC and 3D technology professionals to attend. The 2019 edition of the co-located events, produced by Diversified Communications, will take place from May 21-23 at the Anaheim Convention Center North, Anaheim, California.
Attendees represent industries such as architecture, engineering, construction and building; surveying and mapping; civil and transportation infrastructure, industrial facilities, plants, and asset management; power and utilities; manufacturing; law enforcement and forensics; historic preservation; archaeology and digital heritage; mining, aggregates, and stockpile management; entertainment and gaming; insurance and real estate; museums and cultural applications; research and academia; robotic and vehicle navigation and sensing; and many more.

The highly anticipated conference programs, organized by conference planners as well as AEC Next’s Advisory Board and SPAR 3D’s Advisory Board respectively, kicks off on at 9:30 am on Tuesday, May 21 with product previews from leading vendors, followed by technical sessions. The first of two highly anticipated keynote sessions feature MiMi Aung, NASA Mars Helicopter and Bob Sutor, IBM Q Strategy & Ecosystem, IBM Research will take place at 9:00 am on Wednesday, May 22. The second keynote session featuring Jon Snoddy, Walt Disney Imagineering, Katheryn Keane, National Geographic Museum, and Fredrick Hiebert, National Geographic will begin at 9:00 am on Thursday, May 23. The full program consisting of more than 80 sessions is made up of technical sessions, case studies, 101-tracks, and panels providing professionals with industry best practices and insight into the newest innovations and developments.
118 exhibitors will showcase the latest AEC and 3D technology as part of the combined exhibit hall. The exhibit hall will be open to attendees briefly on Tuesday from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm for a welcome happy hour. The exhibit hall will be open on Wednesday, May 22 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
In addition to an abundance of exhibitors, the exhibit hall will also feature a variety of live demonstrations which are a cornerstone of this event. Live demonstrations including holographic visualization platforms, multi-user, mixed reality tools, an interactive BIM Cave, several vehicles mounted with 3D scanning hardware, mobile mapping devices - including handheld, augmented reality headsets such as HoloLens and Magic Leap, and much more will be available throughout the exhibit hall.
