In 2017 the total number of routes planned daily by Maxoptra’s automated multi drop vehicle routing and scheduling software topped 50,000. With growth of over 50% from the previous year, Maxoptra welcomed new customers from around the world with its first deployments of the cloud-based solution in Africa and Asia, and continued growth in Europe. 2017 saw a widespread adoption in a number of sectors, such as food distribution and furniture delivery, as well as by well-known brands Mercedes-Benz, JCB, LafargeHolcim and Sharps Bedrooms.
“2017 was a year of notable success not only for Maxoptra but for its user community,” commented Stuart Brunger, Maxoptra Business Development Director. “We released new functionality which allowed existing users to achieve greater efficiencies, higher profitability and better customer service and in turn attracted new members to the Maxoptra family both at home and abroad.”
Underpinning Maxoptra’s growth were a number of new developments and product launches. 2017 saw the release of the Maxoptra Facebook Bot allowing customers to access real time delivery information by social media as well as a range of web-based, ‘self-service’ order tracking and ETA notification tools, collectively branded Web Widgets. In addition, the introduction of many intuitive implementation tools and user training videos resulted in over 25% of the year’s new customers implementing on their own, without time consuming project start up meetings or training sessions.
In 2017 Maxoptra was shortlisted for a number of awards including Technology Provider of the Year in the British Small Business Awards as well as a nomination in the category of Innovation by the Energy Saving Trust in its prestigious Fleet Hero Awards. Maxoptra was also proud to support the Evening Standard and Independent newspapers’ Christmas campaign to help hungry children in London access free fresh food by working alongside The Felix Project, who collect good quality surplus food from suppliers and deliver it to charities and schools.
2017 also saw Maxoptra expand its team of dedicated industry professionals with the appointment of Paul Creaney to the role of Implementation Manager, Ben Hamill as Sales Executive as well as Illya Mishchiy and Jack Bevan in Business Development.
“Investment in technology and people during 2017 has placed us in the best possible position to translate 2017’s achievements into 2018‘s headlines,” continued Brunger. “Our continued dedication to working alongside our users means we can help them to do the same.”
