As always, the London event managed to coincide with the coldest day of the year. But even with temperatures close to freezing, this popular, free-to-attend show defied the elements to attract plenty of visitors.
Organised once again by GeoAware, the events division of The Geoinformation Group, a three-track seminar programme with more than 25 presentations gave attendees a wide range of topics to digest throughout the day, from Fake Maps to mapping wildfires, and from building 3D city models to unleashing the power of Augmented Reality.
Supporting the event were 32 exhibitors, including a wide cross-section of businesses as well as organisations such as the AGI, BCS, ICES, The Coal Authority and the Army’s 135 Geographic Squadron.
Provisional dates for the 2018 GeoDATA Showcase events have been set for 25 April (Ireland), 14 June (Scotland) and 29 November (London). More at http://www.geoaware.info/
